TECHNICAL NOTE FOR PREPARING ORGARNIC FERTILIZER FOR GROWING GINGER

TECHNICAL NOTE FOR PREPARING ORGARNIC FERTILIZER FOR GROWING GINGER

Currently, agricultural production using organic fertilizer is very popular. Compost porous soil and plants easily absorbed, safe to use, minimizing environmental pollution by restricting the use of plant protection products such as pesticide. Organic fertilizer sources are the types of plant-originated source such as animal manure, poultry, leaves, plant residues in agricultural processing, etc ...

Nowaday, as the development of science, biotechnology, the use of biological products for the production of organic fertilizer for crops enhances beneficial microorganisms in the soil, providing nutrients to tree, and some germs that is harmful to plants. Therefore, these type of preparation is recommended to enhance the composting process.

Utilizing waste from villages to produce organic fertilizer is a significant saving solutions and effective land reclamation. However, if you do not be sure the process, there will be no source of quality organic fertilizer. It takes time. When using waste as an organic fertilizer, you’d better note:

Ginger planting composting process:

Prepare

- Quantity: 1 tons of finished products.

- Material

+ Waste (plant lees): cassava, arrowroot lees, ...: 800 - 1,000 kg.

+ Manure (cattle manure...): 400 - 500kg

+ Super P: 20kg

+ Water:

+ Probiotics Trichoderma + 1 - 2kg (the more ferment the quicker decompose fertilizer).

+ Probiotics Biotech + 0.5 kg -PVISI

+ Covers

Composting techniques for ginger planting

- All components: manure + probiotics + water: mix to ensure sufficient moisture compost reaches 50-60% (taking a part of mixture on your hand, clutching that water is seeping).

- Make the bed height of about 1.2 -1,5m

- Use a canvas to cover cover the mixture to avoid direct rain and sunshine to ensure moisture and limit nitrogen loss in microbial fermentation.

Note: The higher the air temperature, the shorter the incubation period. Otherwise, cold air and water more slowly decomposing feces.

Mixing the manure

After incubation period of about 7-10 days, the temperature gradually increases to about 40-500 0C. Highest temperature at the time of incubation reaches enough moisture after 25- 30 days, and the temperature may rise to 50-60 0C. Now mixture should be turned to enhance the activity of probiotics. When mixing if seeing manure is dry, you should add water to reach 50-60% humidity is good. After 50 to 60 days, the temperature decreases to 30 0C. At that time, the mixture is decomposed, and its volume also decrease compared with it before.

Products after composting

After composting, all manure has decomposed, porous distribution, switching to dark brown, no heat, can be used as micro-organic fertilizer suitable for all crops.

It can be used together with inorganic mineral fertilizers. Absolutely, you shoult not directly mixed with lime because lime destroys microbial fermentation system.
